Flights to The Gambia from Manchester
Banjul (BJL), The Gambia
Manchester flights to The Gambia (Banjul) are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the high season
from November 2011 to April 2012. There are additional flights on a Monday from 7th November 2011 to 2nd January 2012.
Thomas Cook Airlines provide the Manchester-Banjul flights and these are usually quite a cheap option
for flying to The Gambia from the UK. Outbound flights from Manchester to The Gambia are priced separately to inbound flights from The Gambia to Manchester, so you're not restricted to multiples of
7 nights e.g. you can fly out to The Gambia on a Saturday for 11 nights (and return to Manchester on a Wednesday) or fly out on a Wednesday for 9 nights
(and return on a Saturday). During the 2010/2011 season, the Thomas Cook flights from Manchester were the only direct UK charter flights to
operating to The Gambia over the weekend, however, Thomas Cook will now be supply a limited number of flights
to The Gambia from Gatwick during 2011/2012 on a Saturday and Sunday.
Note: If you're based near the Midlands, you might also consider flying on Thomas Cook's
Birmingham flight to The Gambia.
Just like the Manchester flights, these only operate during the high season (Nov-Apr), albeit only once a week (on a Tuesday).
It's worth checking the price difference as you might pick up a bargain flight to The Gambia!
